Galileo Galilei was the first to point the telescope at the moon. The first thing noticed about the moon was that it had creaters and it was not perfect which disproved Aristotle. Aristotle said everything was perfect and no mark of any kind everything was circular. When Galileo was looking through a telescope he discovered 4 things orbiting around the planet of jupiter he named these four things the moons of jupiter. He also disproved aristotle by discovering this because aristotle said that everything is still in space. By sucking up to the king and queen by naming the 4 moon after there sons. He noticed that we can only see venus's phases during the day because of the earths rotation at night venus is at the opposite side of the earth than it was durnig the day, thats how he discovered that the earth spins.
